Ramzan Food Festival, Bangalore

Hey guys welcome back to another blog!Today, we are going to see about Bangalore’s Food Festival that happens during the Ramadan season.Ramzan is a festival celebrated by around 1.5 billion people around the globe, where they fast till the sun goes down and then feast till the sun comes up! It gives self control and immense belief to a person.

There are many locations in Bangalore where Iftaar Food Festival is held and we are going to see the best out of them all. The whole street is filled with delicious mouth watering food. So let’s take a look at some of the top places which offers a king’s feast!

1. Frazer Town, Mosque Rd

It’s inside the city, and as far as we know this is the best place in Bangalore for a Iftaar Feast, Hands-down! They’ve a plethora of kebabs and the ever delicious Haleem. It’s open from evening and the best time to visit would be after 10 to soak in the fever of the festivity!Suleiman Chai from New Taj Chai Shop is a must have. The Hyderabadi Haleem and Mughalai Paratha are also a must taste here.

The Pathar Ka Ghosth is a new experience, it’s meat which is cooked in delicious gravy on top of a heavy hot stone. If you come across one then don’t hesitate to buy a plate.It costs approximately about 500 INR a person for a night. You can end the dinner off with a Cold Creamy Thick Chocolate Milkshake from Lassi Shop!

2. Tilaknagar, Bangalore

Comparatively smaller than the Frazer Town one, but it’s equally good here. This place is more of a family place as you can find a street full of local hawkers selling bangles and toys in one street and delicious food in another. It’s relatively quieter than Frazer Town.Mutton Sheekh kebab here is honestly one of the best and it’s served on a dried leaf with fresh onions and a slice of lemon. The taste stays in your mind for ages, making you visit here every year. Buy it, or else you’ll regret it.

You can get a complete shawarma experience here and the Mutton Samosa is a must taste here! The Pepper Brain Fry from the Mughal Darbar is a unforgettable experience! And it’s available year round.It costs around 400 per head here.

3. Empire St. , Koramangala

Here in Koramangala we get one of the best prawn kebabs from the Empire St. This is one of the go to places during Ramadan. This places offers plenty of variety of kebabs,and many other delicacies all under one roof!Must taste over here would be the sweets really! Phirni, Pineapple desert, and Rasmalai are worth dying for over here.This is definitely a place you can bring your kids to during Ramzan! You can also have a proper meal with Rumali Roti and Kebabs here.

4. Masjid-E-Eidgah-E-Bilal, Bannerghatta Main Rd

A ride along the traffic riden Bannerghatta Rd, and you’ll reach the Masjid-E-Eidgah-E-Bilal Mosque, it’s a beautifully built mosque which sits right on the Bannerghatta Rd next to Jayadeva Hospital. Around this place you’ll usually get tasty Biriyani and Kebabs year long, but during Ramzan it offers you a lot more.This place is best for a family with elders and kids as there is seating option and plenty of shops with numerous delicacies to choose from. There’s shawarma, biriyani, kebabs, haleem and the list goes on!

The best and must taste here I would say is the Mutton Biriyani, it’s very authentically made with the perfect taste of meat and spices.Please save some space for your drink after dinner, as one thing we can’t miss here is the juice stall, they’ve various Faloodas, milkshakes and Apple Soda!
